Pathogen Sensing
   
Our specialty area is Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes detection. We are currently working to prototype our biosensor model and demonstrating its performance in target sample media, such as homogenated pork tissue and dairy products, brine rinses, and swab samples.

​​Our goal is to put our handheld sensors directly into the hands of both plant production personnel, quality inspectors, and even laboratory technicians.

Our biosensor test strips can be integrated into microfluidic chips to facilitate large volume sample processing, or simply fit in the slot of our portable, handheld, detection platform.  
    


Customized Detection    

 Whatever bacteria you need to detect, we are happy to work with you to develop a strategy to help you with your needs.

 While we currently focus only on Salmonella in pork and Listeria in ready-to-eat food products, we have interest in expanding to other areas such as E. coli detection, as well as other food sources such as cattle, poultry, seafood, and produce wash water.

If you require services outside our current expertise, we would love to chat with you about a product that we could design to suit your needs. There is no obligation in talking to us and we will not try to sell you a product that you have no need for, but we need your input to make great products.   

Data Access

We have had many requests to make the results of our detection assays available in the cloud for access by supervisors.

Because you have expressed a desire for this service we are investigating the feasibility of real time uploads of each detection test so that results can be tracked as well as be used for halting production lines to prevent the spread of contaminants.

Additionally, large resale companies have expressed interest in being able to access the data of their vendors to monitor safety of their supply chains. This is a service we would love to offer, but need more input in order to design it effectively for users. Please contact us with your suggestions.
